KYOTO, JAPAN – 2026/09/07 – The Toxic Yuri release date is close! Yuri Kissaten’s third full game will launch on September 18th, 2026. Doku-chan will be unleashed onto the world in all her glory, and nobody can stop her, not even us.
Yuri Kissaten has spent the last many months crafting the most delightfully noxious romantic comedy visual novel of all-time, and we’re really excited to see you explore it all. We’ve buried some gut-busting gags, eye-poppingly adorable moments, and pitch-dark terror all throughout this game, with 15+ episode variants and 10+ endings.
Can YOU earn your happy ending with Doku-chan? Or will things just end up toxic? Try out the Episode 1 demo to prepare.
At launch, the game will be available on PC, Mac, and Linux, on Steam and Itch. It will only be available in English at first, but we plan to add Japanese and Chinese localizations by the end of 2026. And, if the game’s a big hit, we’ll keep adding more localizations, and hopefully more platforms as well.
The best things you can do to help build up the Toxic Yuri hype:
- Spread the word to everyone. To your family, friends, exes, situationships, old flings you met once on vacation and then never texted after returning home, and that one coworker you can tell is really into anime but hides it well.
- Sign our Day 1 Review Pledge! We need at least 10 reviews on September 18th in order to break Steam’s “small games” curse. Our first games didn’t manage it, so that’s why we’re asking YOU for help. Yes, you personally!

Story
What would you do if you found an abandoned sludge girl in a cardboard box? Take her home, of course!
Play as OL-san, an overworked, easily annoyed office worker living in Kyoto. She meets Doku-chan, a mysterious woman made of putrid slime and ghastly goop, and of course instantly falls in love with her. A sickly romantic comedy begins.
Play through six devilish episodes. Depending on how you treat Doku-chan, you’ll get your official rating–TOXIC or TONIC, and the story changes drastically as a result. Can you live with the consequences of your actions? Yeah, I bet you can.
Ever wanted to kiss in an onsen and get dizzy from your girlfriend’s poison fumes? Ever wanted to have a cute DIY date to build her a cage? Ever wanted to get hospitalized eating her cooking? If you want a romantic comedy that features a literal dead dove, Toxic Yuri is for you.
