Hi and welcome to the latest Yuri Kissaten update!
It’s’s been a quiet month in terms of actual public work from Yuri Kissaten. So quiet this monthly update is covering both April and May just to have enough to talk about!
We:
- Went into incredible detail on Yuri Kissaten’s finances and ambitions for 2025-2026 in our April patron-only bonus post.
- Worked quietly on four different projects that are getting way off the ground–all of our 5 for 25 Campaign projects will be announced before long!
- Bea released her Reiwa 7 Resolutions, looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
- Released Love is in the Airship’s Japanese localization!
- Through the lovely Joi Massat, we attended the NYC Gaymers event on May 31st.
- Celebrated the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Yuri Kissaten!!!! Congrats, us!!!
April and May were comparatively pretty empty for public Yuri Kissaten developments, but it was huge in our personal lives. Bea started a new school year with new problems, moved apartments, and went on a trip to Star Wars Celebration Japan in Tokyo. Fruz also made some major life advancements that we would classify as Very Positive. 🙂
So it was a very busy two months, even though Yuri Kissaten didn’t get as much public benefit from all that busy-ness. All the stuff we did was somewhat secretive, somewhat…. shareable only in a patron-only bonus post coming later this month! Stay tuned for another great behind-the-scenes look at our game development journey.
Love is in the Airship’s first DLC
…is getting delayed. We wanted to have this out in mid-May, and of course, it’s early June already. The Japanese localization was also pushed back from its original early April date, so that basically took its place.
With so many plates spinning, and Airship not exactly setting the world on fire as far as game sales go, this one is getting pushed back until later this summer. But we should be able to lump together more planned content updates too, not just the new St. You story route.

But let’s take a nice look at our upcoming new girlfriend, anyway.
You But Good. The reversed morality version of player favorite You But Evil.

You never expected to find your alternate mirror self aboard the U.S.S. Tibarn, and you CERTAINLY never expected to find two of them.
You But Good is an angel from Canada, here to bring kindness and joy into everyone’s lives… no matter the cost.
For a game centered so much around hanging out at the bar, making out in public, and slacking off at work, how are you going to deal with a cute lesbian who is staunchly opposed to all of those things?
It’s going to be a wild ride, so get ready for You But Good, coming nebulously this summer.
Looking Forward to Pride
June is Pride Month, which means the entire month is Yuri Heaven. We’ll be releasing lots of content big and small throughout the month.
A couple things we’ll do for sure:
- TWO patron-only bonus posts in June; one about the process of pitching our game Ryugaku Ren’ai to indie publishers, and one about Pride Month and our inspirations for LGBTQ+ media.
- An early release of our upcoming free visual novel, Life of a Dispatch English Teacher in Japan. The game will probably release publicly in July, but we haven’t targeted a specific date yet. Stay tuned for more information.
- An audiobook release of Rainbow Destructor, Bea Baker’s sci-fi novella from many years ago. Alongside that, all of her books will be free or on sale along the month. Not strictly Yuri Kissaten news, but hey, it’s got yuri in it. And hey, maybe one day Rainbow Destructor can get a visual novel adaptation, if the audiobook does well enough. It’s a very odd story, though…
- Another BIG reveal coming VERY soon, and that’ll be so big it’ll get its own post!!!!
5 for ’25 Status
- Winter Heat – mid-development
- Toxic Yuri – very early development
- Ryugaku Ren’ai – seeking funding
- ??? – early development… announcement still looms
- ??? – ???
Closing Cup

This picture, copyright Lucasfilm, used with Fair Use edcuational commentary, shows one of the enduring icons of Pride Month. This slug is apparently named Klaud, but all of us know that he is truly named the Live Reaction. If you are gay with someone, he will be watching, studying, reacting. If you attend a parade or party, he will react. For any LGBTQ+ content in your life, especially Yuri Kissaten, it’s extremely likely that your life will be reacted to by this wonderful slug. It’s a fact of the internet.
