Hi, guess what? We here at Yuri Kissaten had another real lively month making games and falling behind on games and stressing out about games. We basically missed out on the entire spooky season due to making several games about lesbians. We are officially and retroactively designating this past month “Yuritober.”
Will we actually celebrate Yuritober next year? Unlikely. This was a one-off month where Yuri reigned supreme.
But we’re also here to officially designate November as “A Really Good Month to be Excited About.”
We can’t wait to finally be able to show you progress on our projects as we get closer to releasing a few of them.
The Month We Finished
In Yuritober, we did a lot of things. For stuff we can actually talk about, we:
- Participated in the Steam Next Fest for the first time! Winter Heat‘s demo was played by nearly 100 people. It finally includes a real nice version of the Oomfie RPG.
- Started the Quirky RPG Tournament on social media.
- Designed and tested an elaborate four-part RPG lesson for English class for high school students (this isn’t online anywhere, just trust us on it).
- Faced trouble at the day job.
- Revealed the existence of SQUIDDLES! And appeared in the SAHCon video showcase!
- Celebrated one year of Love is in the Airship.
- We also progressed mightily on Winter Heat and are marching ever closer to its release!
Some Upcoming Events and News…
Here’s a few pre-announcements and teases:
- Winter Heat, long scheduled for 11/11, is being pushed back into December. It really is unfortunate, and it’ll probably hurt the game launch, but we still have to finish the game. We’ll make a full separate post about it in a couple days.
- For patrons, we’re extremely sorry for the lack of patron-only posts lately, so we’ll be sharing a lot more soon, including one Very Big Fun post, the mother of all teases, and a lot more transparency than you ever needed.
- Along with the Winter Heat delay, our next Yuri Kissaten Espresso showcase video is being pushed back a little bit, too. But that should be a great thing for you, because we’ll have even more announcements to make! Stay tuned!!
- At least one new Steam page will likely be up by the end of November. Hopefully two.
